Cleaning a house trap

call the roto rooter. and be careful when you sweep under the stoop drain, backyard draIn or anything that goes into the main. in fact, get some kind of screens around all exterior entry drains so you can figure out where its coming from. “some” rust or gravel shouldnt be clogging your trap, but id start with the roto rooter to clear everything first.

Our house trap seems to clog on a weekly basis (construction debris, rust, gravel, etc). I’ve been cleaning it out with a shop vac, but that’s a nasty, nasty business (and makes me want to burn my shop vac). Anybody have a better way short of hiring somebody?
