Is there anywhere in Brooklyn to get paint mixed to match a wallpaper sample?

Paints by George on Coney Island Ave does. They sell Benjamin Moore paint. FYI what all these places do is suggest the 2 closest shades of their brand paint to whatever you’re trying to match. Depending on the color and the brand’s colors, the match could be nearly identical or subtly different.

I’d like to paint our entryway the background color of the wallpaper in our vestibule, and don’t know of anyone in Brooklyn who has one of those color matching machines, a la Janovic. Am I doomed to hike into the city?

Yes.  Mazzone Paint Center on Smith St (211 Smith).  They do color matching and sell Benjamin Moore paints, so much better quality than HD or Lowes.
