Can anyone recommend an auto mechanic?

I need a front end alignment for my car. A recommendation for a competent auto mechanic would be much appreciated.

Strauss on 4th Avenue is closed (bankrupt).  I wonder whether that will accelerate the redevelopment of that lot.

I use Nok on St Marks between Washington and Underhill. The owner is very straightforward and nice. I haven’t had major work done there but I would certainly trust them to do it.

Superior Care Auto Center on 19th St is great.  They are proactive and inexpensive.  I now do my regular scheduled maintenance with them rather than my dealer and am very happy. Downside is that you need to make a reservation in advance – you can’t just drop the car off.  Also, their hours are limited – they close around 5:30, although you can wait and pick up early the next morning.  However they have a pretty easy to use web site for making reservations – provide 3 good dates and they’ll come back with the earliest available one. I used to take my car to Strauss on 4th Ave, who are nice and inexpensive enough and don’t require an appointment, but they do the minimum to get your car out.  For instance, when my battery died, they recharged the battery instead of simply replacing it; the battery died again 2 months later.

Where in bklyn and what make? I have a recommendation for Carroll Gardens / European
