Lumberyard/Building Materials Recommendation for Downtown BK?
We’re doing a semi-gut renovation of a 1 bdr in downtown BK and are looking for a recommendation of a lumber and supplies place that will deliver our sheetrock, durock, Hardibacker, compound etc and when we order studs won’t send us a bunch of bowed and splitting rejects. Easy to deal with and good pricing a nice bonus if possible. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Check out RBS / Riverhead Buidling Supply. They deliver from their Mineola location. I ordered a modest amount of decking material and the threshold for free delivery was very low. I believe their quality and prices are genearlly competitive. Good luck.

There was one in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

I would try Dykes Lumber in the Gowanus area.

Sorry to damp your expectations, but if we could get what you ask and we had to pick it up I would consider myself lucky. We deal with Kamco for larger orders and take our chances looking for decent materials at Lowes/HD Kamco minimum on delivery is $300.00, and you can always send back something if you don’t like it. Delivery isn’t free, but they will spider if you ask. You might want to utilize more metal stud, as wood is rarely approved. One good thing regarding Kamco is they have heavier grade studs than consumer yards, but you have to ask for 20ga.
