Landmarks delays???

Howdy Stoners…

Has anyone been dealing with extra long delays with Landmarks?  I ‘ve been calling and emailing my “specialist” (and his boss) since April with no response.  Not sure what else I can do.

The only way it will be significantly delayed is if there are comments back and forth which usually the architect will be notified of their comments and usually at that time a lot of commenting thru e-mail for non-design issues or photos will work as well so I can only second previous posts. Unless the architect did not do the required re-submissions.

I agree with the previous replies.  Call up the LPC general info line and find out who is the staffer handling the application.  Call the staffer directly.  If you don’t get through, leave a message briefly explaining the situation, stating how long you’ve been waiting.  If you don’t hear back in a couple days, call the general info again and find out who the staffer’s supervisor is, and call them.

I hate to “dump” on a fellow professional, but Jock is right.  The LPC has 30 days to reply in some way to any application.  That reply could be a request for additional information, or the staff could kick it up to the commissioners for a full review, but you should know something within 30 days.  Is this a window replacement or something more involved?

Good Luck.

Sounds like a problem with your specialist.  What does your architect have to say.  Why do you not call Landmarks.  Find out when it was filed.
