Steam Heating consultation

We just bought our first house, and are looking for a friendly plumber who could walk us through the seasonal firing-up process for the first time.  Questions include: how do we properly adjust the radiators? Of all the timers, thermostats, pumps, what (if any) is actually hooked up? Etc. Any idea what somebody would charge for this?
