Worth it to install water line for fridge water/ice maker in rental?

i am sorry, i could be repeating something here as i am not reading the other responses as my mind was made up when i first saw the post. my thought:

my parents house had an automatic ice maker and all of my youth and to this day i think that that was the weakest link in the plumbing system. i still think that. i would not bother. i do not trust the clear plastic lines and if it is a copper line and someone moves that fridge to much and kinks it, one more move and it is done. to this day, i do not have an ice maker in my house and will not and i can deal with the broken line myself if it happens.

Yes absolutely worth it, it’s basically been standard on all our jobs for a while now.
Run a copper line to a recessed valve box in the wall behind the refrigerator, then braided stainless line to the refrigerator.
Most if not all ice and water refrigerators now have integral water filters that are easy to change.
