Skylight Noise

Is it flat with the top floor ceiling? If not, & there’s room in your crawl space, you can install a “window” or laylight that would act as a baffle.

I have a renovated brownstone with what seems to be original skylight (glass with aluminum framing and a little aluminum steeple?). Whenever it rains it is extremely loud. Does anyone have any advice???

You might try wrapping the outside in bubble wrap. That may lessen it. But I agree with Bob, it’s a nice sound.

It would be a nice sound if it wasn’t so loud that it wakes my toddler every time it rains 🙁
