Referrals? Replace door to landmark compliant and contractor work around door

By the way, assuming your single door was installed before landmarking, it is grandfathered and doesn’t need to be replaced. Certainly if you choose to replace it, the new door/s will need to be LPC compliant. You probably know this already. Just mentioning it because some home owners aren’t aware of the grandfathering aspect of historic designation.

We need to replace our single entry door to a landmark compliant double door. Moreover, the entire ‘front door wall area’ in our small vestibule needs some work including door frame, window above the door, etc. At the same time, ideally we can rip up the wood floor in the vestibule and lay tile.

Is there one vendor that can do this? I know there are landmark door companies, but will they also do some other work?

Any suggestions on how best to tackle this type of small job? Any referrals for landmark door companies?

As to the door we loved Heights Woodworking and they can reproduce anything you need replacing. The tile is another matter. I do not think Heights does that kind of work, though they did install the marble threshold to the front door. To replace that floor is a small job tile companies don’t like to do . It is possible you may have to work from underneath the stoop or in your basement ceiling if it is really rotten and you have to put in a new foundation for the floor. Of course I don’t know how your house is built but in mine the floor is like that.
