Place to get a small piece of sheet metal cut?

Good idea–a neighbor gave me the names of a couple of contractors in the area; i’ll see if any of them could do it. Otherwise maybe i’ll come out to Queens!

I want to cut the bottom out of a largish steel planter (imaybe 1.5′ by 4′ feet). I’d hoped to use my dremel tool with a diamond cutting disc but the motor is not powerful enough. Does anyone know of a place in Brooklyn that could do a small job like this? I’m in Ditmas Park and thought about just taking it around to car repair places on Coney island Avenue until i found one that would do it, but I’m hoping to find a better lead.

see if you can find a handyman down there to do it but if you wished to come to middle village queens (11379) i can do it so long as it is a day i am doing shop work.

also, a welding shop. in the same area as you are speaking.

you are in the right direction with the dremel. i would use an angle grinder. we have all sorts of air tools for this stuff.
