Numbering apartments in a brownstone

I would 100% agree with mozeatupu – the post office already has numbers for the apartments – I ran into this problem. For one thing Spectrum wouldn’t install cable if the numbers don’t match the USPS (that took days on the phone). Unsure about gas. Second is mail delivery itself. I also think they have an address API validation tool for-commerce. If you want to change the actual numbers then I would change them at USPS before doing any physical re-numbering.

Hi there – Just bought a brownstone and trying to decide how to number the parlor and the garden apartments. Called the parlor “#1” and the garden “G”? Thoughts? Opinions?

If duplex then Parlor/Garden is one. From an information design perspective, names are more important that numbers other than for food delivery

i would call the top floor “PH” like they do in the fancy buildings in the city. that way you can rent it out for more money:-)

Aren’t the units already numbered?
Best to keep then as however the post office has then in their system to avoid mail issues later.
