neighbours refuse to use blinds

If there are holes in your walls that have glass in them to allow you to view the outside, you could opt to not go over to those and stare into the neighbors house. Or, you might simply brick those holes up so you are permanently relieved?

Can you make them do anything? Probably not.

Practically speaking, there are two kinds of neighbors who don’t use blinds – those who are unaware that anyone can see them, the thought just hasn’t occurred to them, and those who are more the exhibitionist type.

Letting the first kind know that you can see them will result in them being a bit mortified or feeling like they are being spied upon, causing them to quickly remedy the situation; that will not have the same effect on the other kind, and they may get some satisfaction from knowing you are watching.

Why not assume you have the first kind and pretend you are doing them a favor and let them know? Nothing to lose.

I presume you are seeing them naked and/or engaging in sexual activity, because there’s no reason to expect clothed people going about normal daily activities to use blinds, even if you’d rather not see them working, cooking, etc., though some people do complain about that.

I’ll make a suggestion, because obviously you want light in the day, and privacy at night, and you don’t want to always be reminded to close the blinds by viewing their private activities. There are various motorized blinds available that you can automate to work on a schedule, so after sunset your blinds will be closed. It’s pretty affordable for something simple.

Ok so….. if you suspect they are exhibitionists then this might not work. Going for the absurd here because, welll, i’m bored! So you could start idle chitchat about the book they are reading, if they like the robe they wear because you like theirs and are looking to buy one, basically the most intimate things you can see or hear lol. OR, you could turn on camera and connect to projector and project their room onto the sidewalk, or right back into their own window….. if they in fact like the attention, you could project some highly offensive videos into their window.

I mean lets have some fun here….
