I have been having difficultly finding a door in these two sizes any ideas where I can order one? (32x 80
& 30 x 82) The 82” one is the hardest to find, I can’t find a 86 that I can cut either.. Just looking for a flush white door.

I’m assuming you need a fire rated door based on your wording. The hardware alone would cost $150 per door, total $700ish per door +/-. And yes, they will sell two doors.

Also you can try Universal Fireproof Door in Bushwick for comparison. Universal can measure and install also.

To clarify, M&D sells steel fire rated doors and wood non rated doors. Universal only sells steel.

84 inch is a standard door size, and also 80″. You can get a hollow core 32″x80″ at home depot for 100 bucks, prehung. Not sure if that’s what you want. For the 84″ inch doors, check the brosco price book, call dykes or another door company that carries them and try to get 10-20% off list. Make sure the door specs allow you to cut 2 inches(1 on top and 1 on bottom). Prehung is usually the easiest choice, but it depends what you are doing. Not prehung might be a little cheaper if it’s avaiable.

I personally wouldn’t use dirt cheap doors to save 50-100 bucks, but it’s up to you. The hardware you can get online for cheap, maybe 10 bucks a door.. You’ll have do a little work to line everything up, they include templates with the locks, but it’s fairly easy for your average drill owner. Most likely you can order the doors drilled so all you have to do is install the lock.

Just checked the price guide myself, a brosco flush hollow core door costs about 90 dollars list, 125 for the 7 footer. With prehanging maybe it’s another 50 bucks. I was offered 25 once for prehanging a brosco, but it was for a bulk amount so I don’t know if that would apply. It won’t be more than 75 or less than 25 for the pre-hang. Add about 40 bucks for a primed solid core door. Doubt you’ll find much cheaper than this.

Ok. You dont want hollow core. Hd does sell 80″ solid core luan faced slabs. We buy them to use as work bench tops.

As for the 84. 84 is a stock product for some entry door manufacturers but i doubt for the flat doors. These are designed for suburban homes, modern and 80″

Some years back someone tossed some new 96″ tall solid core slabs on the street outside a reno so someone makes these doors. I made workbench tops out of them.

Check on line. There used to be a manufacturer/wholesaler in bay shore – flush door distributors – but they are gone. I think these are imported now. Someone has them

i tried to look on line for some of these last night. i am curious myself and this is why:

a year ago someone called me from LI. he had a flush luan door installed as an entry door on a modern house and the skin was falling. i looked at it and told him i thought it was an interior door used outside. he told me he ordered it from a place in texas that makes prehung exterior units. so i called them trying to find out where they got the doors from. of course they would not tell me so i poked around on the internet. i wanted to call the door manufacturer to find out if the door was an interior door marketed as and exterior door so the customer could put the screws to the retailer. i spent a lot of time doing research and really learned little. other than that i think these doors now come into the west coast from china. i think they were made in the US twenty years ago.

if you can not locate the size you need, you can check the thomas directory for manufacturers and call them to find a distributor. maybe dykes can order some larger size. Urbandad m entions the hollow core prehung at HD. i just checked the HD website and the home depots in queens have some solid core in stock. they are always 80″ and i did not look at all the widths – but they have 32″. the 32″ is $94. maybe they can order tall ones as well but they might tell you that is a custom order and put the screws to you and make you wait 2 months.

what are barn doors? Batten doors? not sure i would try to put a traditional interior hinge into the side of a batten door. what you are thinking is something hung from the top. but i have batten doors on my shed. they are mounted with barn door hinges and i would not have tried to use a butt hinge on them.

you do not say if you have called around. Dykes, Riverhead Building Supply, Metropolitan? someone is making them in larger sizes.

That door can probably be made to work. It is not really a barn door but probably just a door hung with barn door hardware.

Let me help. You need an 84×30 inch door that you can cut down to 82, which is a stock product. Why on earth would you buy an 84×36 door that is way to wide, and comes with sliding hardware you don’t need for 3x the price of what you do need? Just call dykes, order a jeld wen door, and go grab a beer.
