full cost of ductless install?

Hello CtB,

As you pointed out, installing an HVAC system will almost certainly involve several trades. For a larger scale installation which is integrated with your interior work you’re potentially looking at:

Mechanical engineer
HVAC contractor
Electrical contractor
Plumber
Roofing contractor
Crane and rigging
Interior work from rough carpentry to painting

Given all these variables, a general contractor would be best suited to give a comprehensive quote.

it seems as though many of these estimates forego electrical work, permits, and other repair costs that are not insignificant. does anyone have any experience on how much this could likely be for a 3 story non-landmarked building? also be interested in hearing if any firms do actually file permits for these residential jobs despite the whole ‘you dont really have to’ angle that seems popular, if not wholly legal.
