Financing repairs

Have you asked the Landmarks Conservancy if you and the repair qualify for any of their programs? The NYC Landmarks commission can give you the current contact information for them.
They are typically for older & or lower income people to get loans to keep their Landmark homes restored.

if you have sufficient equity in your home, consider contacting your existing lender about a home equity loan (HELOC). Otherwise certain companies like AmEx and Macus (by Goldman Sachs) have been pushing personal loans, but the interest rates are much higher than you’ll get on a HELOC.
