DEP Bill wrong?

Does anyone have experience with their water bill being wrong? My bill this month was astronomically high. It has gotten that high in the summer when I was watering grass 3x a day, but this was October! I did a few things outdoors with the hose, but nothing like summer time use. Could it be wrong? Do I have a way to figure this out?
