Not floating, but we’ve used 12″ glue-down cork tiles in kitchens, including our own, and absolutely love it. It’s warm to the touch and noticeably softer on the feet.

how is the durability? Thinking kids with forks, dropped knives, high heels, etc.

I’m also thinkng durability and refinishing. Also telegraphing Imperfections in the concrete subfloor. We have to use floating because we have radiant heating in-slab.

Had glue-down cork in a basement area for 10 years, no signs of wear. But seams opened up quite a bit due to shrinkage I expect, so overlaid with bamboo click (and the cork was the perfect undrelay!). I suspect floating click-install would’ve been more stable.

I’ve used cork many times is glue-down applications. I like Wicanders cork flooring. They offer a high performance surface (HPS) that is very durable and will last for years.
