Has anyone clad a wall in Corian recently. If so would you mind sharing how much it cost. I called an installer today and he said it would be $80 a sq ft. After hearing that I thought I’d just settle for resin.

Jim is on the money, literally. Prices are up a little right now, but in recent memory a competitive price for a granite countertop might be about 45/sq ft. I’m not sure why a wall would be different, and I don’t think it substantially would unless the wall required reinforcing. That said, I don’t know for sure, as a corian wall would probably not be to my taste, so I’ve never quoted that, althought I did quote a soapstone shower surround once. But if you do it please post a picure, it might be an interesting idea in some locations.

I am on the fence. While I’ like the look it would be an excessive amount of money since it’s not a small area. We were not able to line up the floor tile with the wall due to the way the areas are partitioned. I was leaning towards resin but that fades with UV. Epoxy looks like a hospital. Last option is micro cement but that seems popular in the UK and Florida but haven’t been able to find someone locally. I’m open to other ideas from the creative minds here on other seamless wall options that could work.

If you’re looking for another option, we’ve used Tadelakt in a recent bathroom renovation. It’s is a Moroccan waterproof plaster. In our case, it looked like a highly polished, but subtly varied, seamless surface. It was on the expensive side, but I don’t think it was quite the $80/sq ft mentioned above, and it’s beautiful!

Not sure what this wall looks like or where it’s located but some ideas for walls and backsplashes in kitchens include white-painted exposed brick, bead board (MDF or the real thing, painted or natural), wallpaper (or Anaglypta or Lincrusta), copper or stainless steel sheet, stamped tin, Plexiglass, and linoleum (Marmoleum or furniture linoleum).

Yes, I thought about that and haven’t been able to find a complementary tile. Often I see examples of that and the two tiles appear to clash in some form. Maybe I need to be less particular.
