I’m curious if anyone has recommendations on cellar door fabricators. I want to replace the heavy box you see in the attached image that is currently doing to the work of covering the entry point. I see there are many iron works that offer this service however I dreaming of something a bit more custom, where the door matches the surrounding stone. This might be a crazy idea, I don’t recall seeing this anywhere but I thought I’d ask the forum. So really two questions:

Any recommendations for this more customized installation?
Any recommendations for a more tradition cellar door fabricator?

What you’re looking for is a “Bilco Type TER” It’s quite expensive though. Bilco also has a “type J-AL” which is an all aluminum floor hatch thats half the price. All their products are top notch, no standard fabricator will match the quality.
