IMPORTANT UPDATE:

When I passed the spot yesterday the cones were on the sidewalk and the guy’s car was there. It’s an Escalade on like 30″ rims and freaking DELAWARE PLATES!!!!!! Although what he’s doing isn’t legal, you seem like a (no offense) gentrification homeowner. Long time residents take issue with “newbies” coming in to the neighborhood and trying to change the flow. Calling 311 won’t fix your issue, you’ll definitely earn some enemies. Suck it up and find another spot

As I said I’ve lived in Brooklyn since 1997. That’s over 20 years. I know the neighborhood then and I know it now.

I don’t deserve a medal but everyone deserves public parking!

I don’t deserve applause but I do expect my neighbors to be neighborly the way I am- keep the sidewalk clean, say hi to people, let the guy across the street use my hose to wash his car, whatever it might be. If anything my crusade against this jerk with his blocked off parking space is in an effort to better the block for everyone.
