i live in middle village and there are companies here that work locally in this area, middle village, maspeth, ridgewood. more working class areas. i do not see them in Brooklyn. i would try some of the companies here but be aware, approaching anything around the house with a “tight budget” is often a recipe for disaster. you would be better off doing it like my parents had to do back in the old days and save your money for a couple of years and use a good contractor that you are really comfortable with and have this done right. the ones i am thinking of in middle village will do a good job (they are just not high end).

Hello – looking for a recommendation for someone or a company to work on installing a fence and working on our average sized townhouse backyard. Working with a tight budget. Not looking for elaborate design or high end materials like bluestone. We also don’t have a green thumb and not around for part of the year but as it stands, our backyard is broken up concrete and some soil. Really just looking to do everything with some sort of stone, and add appropriate drainage. We would then get large planters on our own. We are in Astoria queens. Any recommendations for a reasonably priced contractor?
