Logs wanted for community garden flower beds
Park Slope’s newest community garden, _GreenSpace on Fourth_, is looking for a free source of logs to create raised flower beds. Ideally we need about fifty 24″ x 6″ logs — other sizes and quantities would be welcome too. We have no transportation so these would need to be delivered to us (4th Avenue @ Union Street). OP here. Thanks Arkady and August, useful tips. Stickerhappy – thanks for the suggestion but we don’t have any means of transporting the logs so this probably won’t work.

One of our neighbors is taking down a big tree in a couple of week from their backyard. I can connect you with him if you want- you could probably get all that wood from that one big tree. Let me know if that would be helpful.

Maybe you can get some floor beams from a demolition – should work quite well
