Brick vs. Wood Fence

Hi Everyone! Does anyone have any experience in having a brick fence installed? Are the rules any different for brick vs. wood? Is a permit required for a brick fence? Thanks in advance.

A Brick “fence” is called a wall. Yes, if you are building the wall soundly, you will need footings, that may encroach onto your neighbors property, unless you are building well onto your side and making your garden smaller by six inches or so. Yes, you do need a permit for a brick wall.
