Hi all, I’ve seen many recommendations for Jose (Zambrano) on the site and would like to use him to refinish my parquet floor in an 1880s townhouse. But the number just goes to a generic voicemail and I haven’t gotten any call back in over a week. Any idea where he is or how I can reach him? The number I’m using is 917-355-7977\. Any info would be appreciated, or another recommendation? Thanks!

Oh no! That is the same phone I have for him. Perhaps he is on vacation. In my opinion, if you have flexibility, I would wait to try and get in touch with him. He is worth it. Solid work, resourceful and very well priced. He maintains a collection of many different types of flooring and wood and is able to match to the floor he is working on. He did this for us where original oak and maple had been replaced by white pine and he was able to rebuild an intricate design in the corners of the floor pattern which had been removed. In fact, when I am ready, I plan to have him come back and refinish our parlor level. Good luck!

Sadly, Jose did not reappear. I ended up using Carlos Salazar. He was great–reasonably priced, thorough, and careful. I would highly recommend him for refinishing and repair work.
