trying to diy gaps around base molding

so the obvious problem is that the floor is super old and i have no extra floor boards. and the brick wall which was originaly covered in panelling has some big holes where the bricks broke. i’d like to install a 1/4round molding at the base and stain it dark so that it is almost invisible. what do i use to fill the uneven gaps of the floor and what do i use to fill any gaps in the brickwork only along the molding (photo attached)? many thanks for any advice.
