Move firebell for sprinkler system

It is one of those circular red sprinkler alarm bells, it is electrically wired. It is about 10 inches in diamter and it is located on the outside of the building 8 feet above ground right in the center of the building width wise. We would like to move it by the front door so its less damaging to the look of the brownstone.
Do we have to refile with DOB? we already filed for the whole sprinkler system last year and we got inspected and approved. I hate to go through that again. thank you

We have a multifamily brownstone that was recently renovated. We have a sprinkler system throughout the building and an exterior red fire bell. The red bell was placed in the most conspicuous spot and is an eyesore. We need to get it moved to a less hideous spot, maybe by the doorbell. Any idea who is best to contact to get this done? And make sure it is all to code?

There are 2 types of bells on sprinkler systems and which type will determine who you’re going to call to relocate it. It may be a water motor gong which is driven by the water as it flows through the sprinkler system. That would be moved by a sprinkler fitter. If it’s electrically operated or tied to a fire alarm system you will need a fire alarm company or electrician. Either way it will have to be filed with the fire department.  If you need help figuring out what type your dealing with or company recommendations my email is in my profile.
