Doorbell in brownstone building

Does anyone have a doorbell(or intercom) that is connected to the telephone system? We have an old (16 year old) Lucent Technology telephone system which is connected to the front door bell so when the door bell rings, you can pick up any phone in the house and find out who is at the front door. A few weeks ago, the system broke down and because it is old, the parts to repair it are no longer being manufactured. Has anyone recently installed or upgraded a similar system to this in their brownstone? Who did the work? What telephone system was installed? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would strongly suggest you reach out to Gunther Electrician and speak to Kirk 917-690-0342\. He recently fixed a 3 family intercom system in our house and was able to deftly troubleshoot and fix wiring and doorstrike issues. He is also reasonably priced as well.

i’ve been thinking about an aiphone jm series myself. i have a basic aiphone system and like it but would like to upgrade. as far as dealers i’ve only been dealing with ones in manhattan (paragon) so i don’t know if that helps you much. I think i had a different locksmith in the west village re-configure / reprogram mine recently – – don’t know if that helps you much.
