Brownstone Facade Overhaul - Deposit Schedule

Would greatly appreciate any thoughts on the deposit schedule we should require (or reasonably expect) for renovating the entire façade, stoop and front area of our brownstone. Thanks!

This is part of our license agreement with the Dept of Consumer Affairs, but then they were supposed to enforce the law in Nail Salons. http://www1.nyc.gov/assets/dca/downloads/pdf/consumers/Consumers-Sample-Home-Improvement-Estimate-Contract.pdf “Each scheduled payment should not be more than $15,000 or 20% of the total amount of the Contract, whichever is the LOWER AMOUNT, and the next payment must not be made until AFTER the work covered by the previous payment has been completed.”

I made 4 payments for the work done on my facade. about 25% each time. First payment is before work starts and upon signing of the contract. I used excellent contracting which has a sponsored article in today’s brownstoner.
