Need Thermostat Recommendation

Anyone have a thermostat they LOVE? looking for new one and an electrician to install it.  Any suggestions much appreciated.

We have a Honeywell (7 day touchscreen one) and have been happy with it.   It was in the house when we bought it and I’ve never even thought of the instruction manual because this one seems so easy to use, especially compared to some in our previous rentals.  The fact that you can program each day separately (or any combination of days of the week) is nice.  For example, when we go out of town I set the heat really low but have it crank up the day we’ll be getting home so we come home to a warm house.  It has more than enough periods to program (for temperature changes) during one day.

whatever you do, get one with a 4 hour override.  we got one with an override that lasts only until the next cycle.  So if the next cycle changes in a 1/2 an hour and I just bumped the heat up because we will be home all day, in a 1/2 hour it goes back to whatever – and we are freezing until it dawns on me what happen.  Steve

It works fine, looks good; comes with intructions and a manual. You don’t really need an electrician to install a thermostat. Just some common sense and patience to go through the instructions.
