Yes it would require a C of O change, and property tax will increase to full freight the following year. There’s no harm in using a two-family as a one. If it were me, I wouldn’t change it.

Client wants to convert a 2-family to 1-family. Since both 2-family and 1-family are the same R3 occupancy, would this require a C of O change? I should add that the client also plans to add a horizontal extension. However, egress will not change. Thank you.
