Need help with carpet for common areas of co-op

Our building is looking to redo our common areas and I was wondering if anyone knows who makes and sells durable carpets (looking for a brand that is color-fast, stain resistant, and plays nicely with stairs). There are pets and kids in the building so we need something that will hold up to the daily abuse. We are also looking for recommendations for someone to install the carpet. Thanks!
