Anyone Familiar with the Borough Park Special Zoning?

A varience is only required if you are not complying with the zoining code.  You would need to prove a hardship to stand a chance.

I know there’s a Special Boro Park Zoning where it allows to cover up to 65% of the lot area. My question is: How High can i build?    this is in R6 Zoning.   Thanks in advance.

So this woman met her doctor on the street (no internet forums at that time) and decided to get a freebie. “Doc, I have a pain here, and here, and here” she started complaining. “Very well, Ma’am” the doctor said “now would you please get undressed, so I can check you out” Moral of the story: If you cannot get through the City zoning website:http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcp/html/zone/zonetext.shtml do please hire an architect or an expediter to do this for you. It shouldn’t cost more than a grand for a full scale zoning analysis My very best BK

Hi _strawberry1_, I am sorry to hear about your DOB objection. It is your architect’s job (unless you have some other arrangement) to go and fight the objection. DOB usually substantiates their objections, citing exact code or zoning section. Sometimes (very often) they are wrong (not many rocket scientists there), sometimes they are right and changes have to be made. Your architect and expediter should schedule an appointment, discuss the project with the examiner, revise the plans if needed. Have them do their job! My best BK What you should do is leave
