Roof Extension

Hello I am looking for an experienced general contractor who has years of experience with roof extensions, roof decks and bath and kitchen renos. Need the job done in 3 months. Know anyone??

Hi, Once your plan is passed by DOB then you can hire a general contractor that will allow him to pull up permits for the work. ctg construction have completed work on bed-stuy. First you need an architect/engineer. Then you need an asbestos “samples” and drawings. Currently Alteration Type 2 plans can get same day approval at the DOB, though you have to pay the architect/engineer who you have hired to expedite the plans. I know a few who are willing to do this. Once plans are approved, the contractors pull their work permits – takes one day. As far as your time frame goes, the best thing you can do is work on clarifying your design and finishing touches while the paperwork gets managed at the DOB. Once the job is filed and approved with the DOB, the contractor pulls the permits. If the contractor’s information is all in order, and s/he’s got the right certifications, then it should be juts a few days to file the paperwork at the DOB. If not, there is no way to get something quickly until those things are in order. Is the job filed and approved?

The obstacle is definitely going to be your time frame. It has taken me upwards of 6 months to secure permits.

3 months? I’m assuming you already have approved plans and are ready to permit, right?
