Converted Brownstone use Attic floor as part of Duplex

How can I cool off this floor? The windows facing the front of the house are too small for A/C.  The back room used as an office. A/c in there doesn’t cool off other two rooms.

What is the most logical and cost effective option I have here?

Dave is right.  I wish I had say that – check consumer reports on ANY a/c unit – floor unit or otherwise.

am wondering if this is prime candidate for a Mr Slim unit or is it no good cause that would require placing the small condensing unit on the roof – ie would require feeding tube thru roof into this attic area??

if not AC units, maybe give ceiling fans a try.

Try and get some consumer reports on those floor units.  I had a DeLonghi years ago and it sucked.

There are a/c units which sit on the floor and vent via a 4″ tube out windows which are usually too small to handle a window unit.  These are a little more than window units, but probably worth it.
