Recommending Architect / Designer

Hi Brownstoner Folk,

I always see people looking for this so I wanted to send out a note about an architect that came highly recommended to us (he did the brownstone for one of my son’s schoolmates and he is a brooklyn dad so some of you may know him already). We are between house projects right now but the recommendation was so strong I wish we had something.  Hopefully one of you do? To be clear though, I don’t know him and haven’t worked with him (yet) so this is coming second hand, but I will pass on what I was told (and you can ask him rec’s to get to the person we know in common)…Anyway, I was told: he is Italian and his work is influenced by the way architecture is practiced in Italy – his preferred style is very modern and holistic in that he considers the whole space inside and out (architecture, interiors, design etc) in a comprehensive way. He has done a lot of work with open loft spaces, but has also done brownstone work (the person I know).  I was also told that he (like many of us!) is looking for work right now and open to all request for proposals, so I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to him even for smaller jobs.  I trust my source so I will pass him along!  And no, I’m not trying to do an undercover self-promotion, just hopefully help someone looking.
