Looking for Detailed Oriented, Budget Conscious Architect for Modest Condo Improvements

We are looking for a great architect who would be able to help us with a modest improvement to our “newish” condo which currently doesn’t have much character, but we’re looking to redesign the space so it works better for us for the long term.  Mostly, we want the architect to help us subdivide 2 bedrooms into three and create great storage with that change (since the rooms will be tiny).   In addition, we want to improve our kitchen by changing the cabinets to white/something sleeker than what we inherited, and also rethinking the kitchen island which is not very functional. We are of course on a budget, and want someone who thinks things through well, has great ideas, keeps to the budget, and is willing to spend the time on what won’t be the biggest project in the world.  We are looking for references from people who have used an architect they have loved, and might be interested in this work.   Thanks so much.  Laura
