Backyard sinkhole

I noticed this massive hole this morning in my backyard. The last time I was in my backyard was Thursday night so it had to happen between Friday and Sunday morning. Originally I thought my neighbor was renovating his extension wall so he dug a hole or that my other neighbor was taking my soil but when I looked at the hole some more the weed on the top did not seem to be disturbed. Also the hole is pretty deep and looks more natural than man made. The picture below will show the detail. To me it looks like the soil just collapsed/sinked in. Anyone experience anything like this? do I just fill the hole with dirt and soil back or theres bigger problems with my backyard? A bit of a history is my neighbor extended his house 3 yrs ago, they extended their foundation, would something like that cause this?

I wonder if the foundation of your neighbor’s extension might be collapsing. I’m no engineer, so take my concern wit a grain of salt, but I think this is something that should be checked out pretty soon.
