Architect recommendations needed

My offer on a house was just accepted. Totally happy but also overwhelmed. The house needs a complete rehab, so I’ll be using a 203K loan. I already have an FHA consultant. What I need next is an affordable architect. Nothing fancy, just someone that can draw-up plans. Here a few things that I know I want to do: reconfiguring garden apt, raising the roof height, adding a bathroom on the parlor floor. I need someone that’s experienced in expedited filing with the city. And someone that honest and with integrity that won’t try to take advantage of single woman doing this on her own.

Thanks everyone for all your adive. My lawyer has advised me not to go into contract until I get a solid estimate on the work that needs to be done. I reached out to a few people recommended here.  I’ll post the update here just in case anyone encounters the same issues.

Alot of my clients have used the following 3 firms for 203k projects with great results: Keith Arthur as HUD Consultant – 718-344-9142 Constantine at Bullfrog Builders as contractor – 917-509-8751 Jock Deboer as architect – 718-354-7926 Seems the three of them work very well together on the 203k’s and are very experienced in navigating through all the requirements.
