architect recommendations

Looking for an architect for two queens single family home projects in Astoria/woodside area. We are looking for a more  modern/contemporary style as well as making the home as functional as possible. Also looking for one that is experienced with dealing with good reasonable contracters, plumbers, etc. that can help guide us through a full reno. I have GCed a few projects before with a really bad architect and was a nightmare.
