Professional hood cleaning?

If you have a commercial-type oven hood in your home, how do you clean it? I’ve been doing it myself with this very toxic cleanser that gets good results but basically takes a layer of lung tissue off each time I use it. I’d like to get the hood cleaned professionally, so that the flexible hose (?) gets cleaned out as well. Anyone have a recommendation?
