Any advice on buying an FSBO (for sale by owner for those searching)?

We’re considering a for sale by owner property and are wondering if anyone has advice in terms of the timeline, things to avoid, things to ensure get done, etc. Having completed 3 transactions in the past with a broker (two purchases, one sale), we have some understanding of what our responsibilities are, but we want to be sure we tread carefully. We’re of course going to schedule the necessary inspections and confer with our lawyer, but if there’s any advice on things brokers usually look out for that will be on us, all thoughts are welcome!

Check DOB BIS, HPD, and Acris records if you haven’t already — an inspection will probably include that info too but it’s all right there for public viewing (liens, violations, etc.).
