MANNY'S

Stopped by one day and the grate was finally up and someone was sitting out front. He said that he was waiting for Con Ed to come read the meter and told me they would definitely be open in two weeks. That was well over a month ago. I wish they would either open or give up the space so someone else can get a business going in there. They have tied up that space for over a year (I think) now and have only been open for a few months of that time. At the very least they should communicate with their customers about what’s going on.

SO disapointing Seward!!  I pass it everyday hoping to see it’s front open.  Brownstoner last posted an interview with the owner and it seemed as though they were planning on coming back.  I sure hope this seemingly endless delay is due to permitting issues as they were supposedly upgrading their kitchen for increased food services.  Isn’t that new market, Bed-Stuy Fresh and Local, that was recently discussed supposed to be opening within the same block of store-fronts as Manny’s??  Hope they have better luck.

They should open up the way they use to be.. forget about expanding the kitchen to do additional cooking.

I’ve been willing it to re-open, but clearly wishful thinking is not really all that effective. The guy at Bread Love said Manny’s would re-open, but not sure why he would know.
