Coal Chute Cover

Had my contractor build one…wood frame, wrapped in metal, painted. Added this to other work he was doing. The wood cover deflects the water from the metal cover underneath. Keeps the basement dry.

The cover over my coal chute is rusted & full of holes. It is basically a wood frame with a metal layer. Who makes these coal chute covers?

Many iron workers build those – it depends if you’re determined to have wood, though.
