Leaking roof (surprised?)
Hi, we had a leak from the roof yesturday. On the roof at the area of the leak I found the vent with cracks around the base (as on the picture). the cracks about 100x5mm in size and penetrate the membrane. I suspect the water was rushing down the slopped roof and into the crack….

Does it sound plausible?
The vent was installed by the cellulose insulation crew two years ago. Should I go after their explicit or implicit warranty to cover the damages?
It looks like it is easy to fix. Should I get some sort of a roofing cement patch from Lawes and smother it around? Any other advice on this?
bob, first verify this is source of leak by doing water test with a garden hose and shower nozzle.
