We own a Brownstone. It has one of those small 8×8 extensions in the back. 3 years ago we had it knocked down and rebuilt. The guy who put the roof on, literally put plywood and tarpaper on top. No pitch to the roof and it hangs out about 6 inches over the extension on 3 sides.
Immediately the extension started to flood after heavy rains. At first I thought water was collecting on the neighbors side. The builder came back and put tar on the roof and tar on the ground.
Still no luck. Lately it’s also been leaking inside from the ceiling.
Any recommendations on handymen or roofers that do small jobs like this?
Remember, this used to be one of those tar paper shacks very common with brownstones. Now it’s a Block and tar paper shack that leaks.
