It’s truly amazing how the South Slope Latino community is so ready to hijack the SW corner of the park every holiday weekend for their enormous bar-b-ques. Even more fascinating though is the amount of plastic crap they leave thrown about for the rest of us to find the next morning.

I’m confused, so you are only making gross generalizations about the Latinos in this one section of the park? And if you concede that other ethnic groups act similarly in other parts of the park then what exactly is your point about the Latinos in the SW?

@ Bowl. I do blame the parks dept as well. If they were enforcing then people would think twice. Sad though that the authorities have to teach people what they should have learned in kindergarten.

of course the park will be trashed after the 4th of july or any other holiday. who goes to public parks on holidays? poor people in general. poor people like to litter and feel entitled that they dont have to pick up after themselves. thus youre gonna have a messy part after any holiday where poor people congregate. also i take it youve never been to a party in a trailer park on a major summer holiday. well, i havent either, but it’s probably safe to assume it’s just as trashed. low class poor people of all ethnicities make messes, litter, and in general will trash anything that is nice.

you should be blaming parks dept for not taking control of the situation. The question should be, why are they not out there enforcing litter laws and doling out tickets? hmm?

I think you should do that. Go up to the Latinos, tell them know what you think of them, and then throw their grill to the ground. Prove what a tough guy you are.
Im pretty sure that I didnt blame the Latino’s for littering after Oktoberfest or St. Patricks Day. That by in large I would say is white people.
I also am not going to be so naieve as to blame animals for what happens every weekend on the Southwest corner of the park . That, as has been duely noted, is the Latinos.
