One of the replies here reminded me of something my grandmother told me her mother had done in their house in Queens Village; dropped a gun in the wall behind the sink. This would have been done in the late 1910’s or ’20’s. My grandmother’s mother did not want her husband having a handgun and that was how she disposed of it. I know the address of both houses they had lived in in Queens Village and have always wanted to ask the current owners if they every found it.

I love that original b&w porn, I love that to shoot it, you had to learn to develop your own film and stuff. Mrs D had a friend with a family secret and they destroyed a whole similar cache. One day it will be worth something. Keep it anyway.

When my plumber and I demo’d part of the cellar ceiling to run some pipes, a cache of homemade pornography pics came down as well. The b&w pictures appeared to be from the 40’s or 50’s. However it was hard to date acurately since there was really very little clothing as a point of reference. It was also impossible to tell if they were shot in my house or elsewhere. Someone must have been pushing them through cracks between floor boards or had a secret hatch that was covered by subsequent renovations. I have an older neighbor that has lived a few doors down for about the past 50 years but I haven’t the nerve to show them to her to see if she recognises anyone.
