I couldn’t stand the old drab yellow…

DSC00617[1]

Points for discussion:
*DIBS is a jerk
*The turquoise vs. a deeper blue
*White moldings
*Excellent taste in decorating

PS I used Glidden true Turquoise that I got from HD. Amazingly it was $15 a gallon and was as good as painting with Benj Moore, Sherwin Williams or anything else considered higher quality

  1. You have a really nice place.

I have to say I prefer the yellow, and for blue, I might have gone with something a tad darker, but it definitely works as-is.

  2. I love the furniture. I also love this color but not necessarily together. Either get a lighter rug and some throw pillows for the chairs/sofa or go with a deeper color.

By the window where the chairs are upholstered in light colors? LOVE the way paint color looks there.

  3. I did the painting, CGar. The Mexicans sat around and drank cerveza, ordering me around, yelling insults and whipping me. I have it on tape.

Yes, that one has the marble top.

  4. Very nice, Dave. The Mexicans did a great job painting. And, ignore the naysayers, the furniture and paintings look very nice. (Though, truth be told, I’ve been warned never to sit on that couch, and I do concur that DIBS is a jerk.)

BTW, I have a pair of Victorian end tables very similar to the one in your window, but does yours have a marble top? Mine are solid wood.
