Party Venue Recs?
Sorry this is a bit off topic, but I’m looking for recommendations for a bar/restaurant to accommodate 20 adults for a gathering on an early Friday evening. Prefer Park Slope, someplace not too crowded or noisy around 7pm and also offers food, but not necessarily sit down. A back room or downstairs area perhaps? Thanks.

Aji. Upstairs room would fit 20 perfectly.
Try Scotto Ditto on Union next door to Dixon’s bikes. They have a small private room in the back. We had my son’s christening party there 3 years ago. Great food.
that back room at playa with the giant pineapple table, and a bar right in there.. it looks to fit exactly about 20 people. it’s on the corner of 5th and garfield(?), formerly lookout hill. i havent been there yet so i cant say much more. i did however try out aunt susies for the first time this week. they had great salad and pasta and decently priced!

Sheep Station- really nice back room with fireplace. They’ve always been great to us-
The Clover Club on Smith St – Boerum/Cobble Hill. They have a great back room for parties and a very cool drink and small bites menu. It’s a fun place to go. http://www.thecloverclub.com
Union Hall. Perfect for small gatherings.
For starters, you might want to take a look at the Park Slope Parents listings of party venues—restaurants, non-restaurants and private party rooms: http://www.parkslopeparents.com/index.php?option=com_sobi2&catid=16&Itemid=212
