I called Perfect Renovation and they do not work in Bay Ridge. So the owner gave me the number of a subcontractor he uses – Transition Construction, the owner’s name is Iraj.

Any one heard of them?

  1. I am very happy with the work Iraj Safakamal did for me. It was a major kitchen and bathroom renovation. I would highly recommend. He is very patient in explaining all options and costs. Overall a very decent, honest, and straight forward guy.

  2. I called Perfect Renovation about a year ago for a bathroom remodeling project and they also referred me to Transitions Contracting. Of course I also got 3 other estimates from other contractors. Transitions was not the lowest but I did hire them because their references checked out, they were a member of BBB and had the license and insurance requirements needed by my building. He also showed me albums of his work which looked clean. I have to say that the owner is a bit too serious at times, but he stuck by his contract and I was very happy with the completed job.

  3. God I Hate “Perfect-Renovation” & their stupid Red shirts

They are so phony… Nothing perfect about them. I prefer using contractors that give you that personal attention u deserve when spending a lot of mula.

  4. The length of your reply is not a problem, thanks for the tips. I am new to this and going to have a few contractors come in and give me estimates. I do not mind paying more if it means the job is done professionally and clean. He is coming this weekend and I will ask him if he has other jobs in the area I can see.

  5. Yes I am familiar with the name. It is Iraj Safakamal.

He is a contractor with a liability policy of 1 million dollars. Aggregate of an additional 2 million.

He did some kitchen renovations for New York Kitchen and Baths(NYKB).
The company does heavy advertising in the media.

I have never seen any of Iraj’s work.

What I heard was he is a little bit on the tempermental side.

Make sure you check his references and go and see the finished work.

He is friends with the owner of NYKB and is also friends with the guy who owns Bercelli kitchen and bath. I don’t know how objective the references wil be that is why you should have a look at the completed job.

If the work is good you might end up with a bargain!

If you do hire him, please post the results of the job.
In other words, were you happy with the work?
Did he stick to his price?
Did he give you a hard time?
Did he cut corners on the job?

Just a suggestion… pay him for labor only and pay for your own rough material and fixtures, cabinets, etc.

I am curious about the quality of his work.

PS………Give NYKB and Bercelli a ring and ask them about the quality of the work and also about his relability, etc.

    Good Luck.
